Meet Meital

Registered Nurse, MSN

My name is Meital Nazarian RN, MSN and I am passionate about guiding you towards achieving the quality of health that you deserve.

My Passion stems from my personal experience as a daughter trying to support her mother through the struggle against cancer. I graduated nursing school three months after my mother passed away and promised myself that I would do everything in my power to assist my patients as a nurse in ways that I wish someone would have assisted my mother and my family.

I have dedicated much of my career to educating nurses on best practices, as well as, building and participating in programs made specifically to advocate for those who need it the most. I believe that everyone has a story and that their story should be heard in order to provide the care that they expect and deserve. It is truly my honor to meet with my patients and advocate for positive health outcomes to improve their lives.

I have spent the past 20 years addressing a vast array of disease processes and mastering the many facets of healthcare as they impact an individual’s emotional and physical wellbeing. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2005 and a Clinical Nurse Specialist since 2009, with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA, my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St Mary’s College, and my Master of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary’s College.

My nursing experience began when I was caring for heart and lung transplant patients in the Cardiothoracic Unit at the UCLA hospital. During that time, I also completed an Ethics Fellowship supported by the UCLA Nursing Institute of Learning where I was trained, in collaboration with their medical team, to advocate for patients and guide them in making informed medical decisions. I then transitioned to providing Hospice Care and built a home-based Palliative Care Program for patients who needed specialized care which was not being fulfilled by Hospice or Home Health Care programs, bridging the gap between Hospice Care and Home Health Care. During my time as Nurse Educator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Kindred Hospital, I expanded my knowledge by instilling ethics, values, and nursing skills in the new graduate nurses, as well as experienced nurses, to promote high quality care. In addition, I have worked as a Nursing Director in Home Health Companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Communities leading the nurses and the healthcare teams in the implementation of best practices and high-quality care.
